Deep color, smoky nose, dark berries, herbs; compact palate, showing density and good structure, aromatic on the dark-fruit side, medium-length finish. Harmonious.

Quiet but well formed, nicely delicate with creamy strawberry and cherry fruit alongside firm, mineral-edged tannins. This has a sleek frame and cool centre that drives the flavours forward. Really well presented, not lacking in fruit at all with a good persistence. Silky and classy.

Flowers, red cherries, and a touch of wild herbs form the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, bright, crisp, and chewy, with a vibrant red-berry finish. The wine blends 57% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. 12.5% ABV. Drink from 2027–2040. 89–91 points

Held in reserve on April 17, the bouquet is a little more expressive today (April 25). Delicate hints of red fruit and an earthy touch suggest freshness. Slim in style, the wine struggles to deliver on its aromatic promise. It needs to gain breadth and structure. Ageing should help with that.

Medium intensity ruby red colour, with welcoming fruits on the opening, some light cumin and sandalwood oak toasting, this is balanced, a little heavy on oak but has red berry fruits alongside, and silky texture to the tannins.
