    Description

The purity and depth of an imposing Saint-Émilion

    The estate

The Château Larcis Ducasse has existed since the 17th century. Preservation, terroir expression and vine care are the watchwords of this estate, elevated to the rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion in 2012 thanks to the work of Nicolas Thienpont, after he took the reins of the domaine in 2002.

    The vineyard

Magnificent estate located at the end of the famous Côte Pavie, Château Larcis Ducasse oversees an 11-hectare vineyard planted on one of the greatest terroirs in the world. Terraced slopes, due south exposure, a mosaic of quality terroirs, Château Larcis Ducasse combines unique assets that make it one of the most emblematic Premier Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion, on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region.

    Blend

    Merlot (92 %) and Cabernet Franc (8 %).

Characteristics and tasting recommendations for Château Larcis Ducasse 2017

    Tasting

    Nose
Blackberry, black cherry liqueur, soft spices and even floral notes evoking rose petals and violet are all notes that blend harmoniously in a sunny and concentrated nose.

    Palate
A broad and deep attack precedes a sumptuous and sensual palate. The fine, enveloped tannins give the wine a monumental structure while the mid-palate focuses on fruit density, unfolding with freshness and liveliness into a persistent and aromatic finish.
