    Description

An aromatic and delicate Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

    The Property

With archives attesting to its existence as early as 1585, the Château Larmande is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Émilion, on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé is owned by Groupe AG2R LA MONDIALE.

    The Vineyard

The Château Larmande 2020 comes from a 16.72-hectare vineyard whose vines, averaging 25 years old, are planted on a clay-limestone soil of Saint-Émilion composed of ancient sands, clay and silica.

    Winemaking and Ageing

Hand-harvested, the grapes are rigorously sorted before being gravity-fed into temperature-controlled rectangular vats. Aged for 18 months, the ageing takes place 60% in new barrels, 30% in one-wine barrels and 10% in amphorae.

    Blend

Château Larmande 2020 is made from a blend of merlot (77%), cabernet franc (19%) and cabernet sauvignon (4%).
