    Vinum

Floral and chalky-mineral on the nose, vanilla, citrus fruits; on the palate, dense, focused, creamy texture, very good acidity; long finish, again shaped by minerality, lingering, spicy. A sure bet.

    Decanter

Inviting aromas include a charming burst of candied citrus and stone fruit leading to freshly baked lemon meringue pie. Subtle floral tones and a touch of creamy pastry add further allure, creating an aromatic profile that feels generous yet refined. The wine strikes a fine balance on the palate, which is smooth and vibrant: lively freshness lifts the fruit without feeling sharp or austere, which can happen in 2025. So, no rough edges, as everything is nicely integrated and the wine moreover avoids flatness, maintaining tension and energy via a supple texture giving a sense of depth without heaviness. The ageing in 70% new oak will add further breadth, and there is no sense of over oakiness. An enjoyable wine that combines charm and drinkability.

Flowers, Granny smith apples, white peach, pineapple, tangerine, and spices create the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is juicy, sweet, vibrant, fruity, and fresh, with lingering notes of white peaches, orange rind, and green apples. The wine is produced from 80% Sauvignon Blanc, and 20% Semillon. Drink from 2027-2033. 93-93 Pts

Flinty gunsmoke reduction, campfire and cold ash, rich apricot and papaya, crab apple, liquorice root and slate. Large oak casks for ageing. High aromatics but on the palate the balance is clear. 3.23 pH. Harvest August 6 to September 3. 80% new oak. Christine and Philippe Gervoson.

    Yves Beck

Clearly marked by its oak influence, the bouquet reveals nuances of hazelnut, anise and citrus peel. On the palate, the wine benefits from the support of its ageing, which lends it a certain breadth. Subtle bitter notes provide drive, while the structure brings character and freshness. A lively, harmonious and lingering wine that still needs time to integrate its ageing.

The Elegance of a Great Pessac-Léognan White Wine for Cellaring

    The estate

The history of the estate dates back to the 1800s under the name La Rivette, but it was in 1874 that it took on the name Château Haut-Brion Larrivet, marking its true creation. Located in the Bordeaux region, this property extends over 100 hectares. Since 1987, the Gervoson family has been the current owner of this estate, recognized today as a leading name. Led by Charlotte Mignon, Château Larrivet Haut-Brion stands out for its sustainable practices and innovative approach, producing wines of exceptional quality.

    The vineyard

The vines dedicated to the production of this white wine cover an area of 7.90 hectares within the Pessac-Léognan appellation. With an average age of 30 years, they thrive on a terroir composed of sandy gravel resting on a limestone bedrock.

    The vintage

The 2025 year was characterized by a particularly hot and very dry summer. Nevertheless, the vineyard withstood these conditions perfectly thanks to the water stored in the soils during the previous year's rainfall. The harvest took place at the end of August, following a period of severe drought, which favored a beautiful concentration of aromas while preserving the freshness of the berries.

    Winemaking and aging

The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal maturity, plot by plot, then transported in small crates before undergoing rigorous manual sorting. Pressing is carried out using pneumatic presses to extract pure, clean juices, followed by light settling. Fermentations take place quickly and at low temperatures in order to capture all the aromatic potential of the year. Finally, the wine ages 70% in new barrels (barriques and muids) and 30% in wooden vats.

    Grape varieties

This wine is made from a blend of 88% Sauvignon Blanc and 12% Sémillon.
