Prominent fragrances include blackcurrants, blackberry jam and bitter cherries, along with hints of soft leather. This wine is also quite powerful, with an exceptional concentration and harmony. The perfect balance achieved by this Chateau Margaux 2005 wine is due in large part to Cabernet Sauvignon, which occupies the majority of the blend. In the 2005 vintage, grapes of this varietal reached optimal maturity without the alcoholic degree surpassing 13.
