    Decanter

Heady aromatics with ripe, dark fruit and perfumed floral scents. Juicy and rich, sumptuous and wide with velvety tannins, just shy of chewy but still filling, but gorgeously pure fruit and high acidity to balance everything out. Certainly a more bold style than some but this really works, lots of personality with a fresh mint, clove and liquorice spice undertone. Excellent. Full of life, structure, sun, freshness and charm. I love it. Yield of 35hl/ha. Ageing 100% in oak barrels.

Aromatically, the wine unhesitatingly offers flowers, chocolate, black cherries, blackberries, licorice, and espresso nuances. The palate is not shy either; there you find a wealth of espresso-tinted, dark-pit fruits, cocoa, spice, and almost liqueur notes. Opulent in nature, the supple, fruit-driven finish is long and mouth-filling. The wine is produced from 100% old-vine Merlot. Drink from 2029-2055. 95-97 Pts

Luscious dark berry fruits, leafy raspberry and rose stem, clear cocoa bean, this is marked by fresh acidities but softens and opens in the glass, plenty of potential over ageing. Harvest September 5 to 12. 33% new oak. 35 hl/ha yield.

From the outset, the bouquet of Péby-Faugères puts the clay-limestone terroir first, with a clear emphasis on chalky nuances. These are joined by aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant, along with menthol notes. The creamy attack paves the way for a wine focused on subtlety, without preventing it from shining with power! It has everything needed to create a successful symbiosis, where finesse is present in equal measure with temperament and vigor. The resulting harmony is exceptional. A wine that proves its greatness, without all the artifices that have sometimes shaped its character. It is outstanding and asserts itself brilliantly.

    Vinum

Deep, with subtle ageing notes, ripe cherry fruit, an herbal spiciness, a touch of blackcurrant, then mocha and floral nuances; on the palate, very well structured, the finest limestone tannins wrap around the crunchy fruit, powerful yet highly elegant, with lively acidity and a fine sense of tension; the finish is long, saline, and red-fruited. An outstanding Péby-Faugères with plenty of elegance.
