Château Picque Caillou 1993

Fairly intense and concentrated with lovely spice and fruit elements. Lean but firm, with plenty of cherry and cassis flavors for balance, as well as some olive and tobacco notes.

Purple-red color. Good intensity. Vibrant. Nose of medium intensity. Fruity with a balsamic, oaky touch. A hint of leather when swirled. A smooth attack developing into a rather light, fruity structure, with soft, well-balanced tannins, extending into a finish with a flavor reminiscent of leather. Pleasant.
