    The Estate

The Château Saint-Pierre, founded in 1693, is located in the prestigious Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux. Under the direction of the Pradel de Lavaux family, the estate upholds a tradition of excellence and a commitment to winemaking methods that respect the terroir. The château stands out for its pursuit of quality and its limited production, offering wines of great finesse that faithfully reflect the typicity of this renowned Bordeaux appellation.

    The Vineyard

The vineyard of Château Saint-Pierre covers 1.8 hectares in the heart of the Pomerol plateau, benefiting from an exceptional terroir with sandy-gravel soils rich in iron deposits. This privileged location, close to prestigious neighbors, confers a unique identity to the wine. The vines are on average 30 years old.

    The Vintage

The 2024 vintage in Pomerol began with a rainy winter followed by a humid spring. These conditions provided good water reserves in the soils. The end of summer proved particularly sunny, allowing for optimal grape ripening.

    Winemaking and aging

Winemaking in stainless steel and concrete vats allows for precise extraction of aromas and structure. After a 2- to 3-week maceration, the wine is immediately transferred into barrels after draining. Aging continues for 16 months, divided between 45% new barrels, 35% once-used barrels, and 20% in amphorae.
