    Vinum

Rose petals, dark berries and mineral nuances; a delicate attack on the palate, with perfectly ripe fruit and fine tannins. The wine shows harmony and freshness, with beautifully integrated oak. The finish is nicely long, ending on red-fruit notes and, once again, floral aromas on the back palate. An incomparable delicacy.

Cool and crisp in terms of fruit – light blueberry elements with real cool freshness and gripping tannins. A much lighter style in terms of fruit, maybe a touch dry towards the finish. In a way it’s hands off but it’s just firm and tight right now on the texture side. Will be good to taste after ageing. 3.7pH. Ageing 14 months, 33% new barrels, 33% one year, 34% amphoras.

Black cherries, plums, flowers, and chocolate, with a touch of licorice define the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, elegant, soft, polished, and charming. The wine focuses on its refinement over power. However, the elevage will be very important this year. The wine blends 85% Merlot, with 15% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. 10% of the wine is whole bunch fermented. Yields were only 18 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2029-2045. 92-94 Pts

Rose bud, cassis fruits, cocoa bean, intense if a little closed on the finish, feels in keeping with the Pomerol character of the vintage, where the intensity needs a little time to unwind. Pradel de Lavaux family. Harvest September 4 to 17, 25hl/ha yields. 3ha estate, 10% whole bunches for vinification, aged in both barrels (40% new) and 33% amphora. 3.6ph.

    Yves Beck

An intense bouquet marked by notes of blackberries, blond tobacco, graphite and fresh wood. Dense on the attack, the wine is driven by powerful, velvety tannins that provide a comfortable structure and are in perfect harmony with a crisp, refreshing acidity. A wine of exceptional precision, capable of creating a symbiosis between elements that are nonetheless striking and imposing. Persistent finish.

Deep black color. An intense, fruity nose—pure and subtle. Delicate on the attack, very aromatic through the mid-palate, with a rich, silky texture; the wine melts throughout the tasting. It finishes on fine tannins and a complex flavor of beautifully ripe fruit, with no harsh tannic edges. It will probably be approachable young, which is all the better. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol: 13.05% – pH: 3.55 – IPT: 84. Yield: 25 hl/ha. Ageing: 40% new barrels, 30% second-fill barrels, 30% amphorae.

The elegance and minerality of a Pomerol wine

    The estate
Acquired in 1920 by the Pradel de Lavaux family, the Château Saint-Pierre is a three-hectare estate located in the prestigious region of Bordeaux. Today, Axel Pradel de Lavaux, representing the ninth generation, has been managing the estate since 2014. Supported by renowned oenologists, he brings a modern dynamic while respecting tradition. The estate has now established itself as a rising and essential name within its appellation, recognized for its high standards of quality and exceptional enhancement of its terroir.

    The vineyard
Ideally located on the upper part of the famous plateau of Pomerol, the vineyard extends over sandy-gravel soils rich in iron deposits, as well as clay-gravel soils. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, are planted at a density of 6,000 to 7,500 vines per hectare. Vineyard management follows traditional methods with partial grass cover. Meticulous work, such as bud thinning, crop thinning, and rigorous plot selection, is carried out to ensure grapes of optimal quality.

    The vintage
The year was marked by heatwave episodes and early drought stretching from spring through August. Welcome rainfall at the end of summer helped restart the vegetative cycle. In response to these climatic challenges, agronomic practices were carefully adapted to limit water stress on the vines, thus preserving all the freshness and balance of the future berries.

    Winemaking and aging
Manual harvests took place from September 4 to 11 for Merlot and on September 17 for Cabernet Franc, followed by meticulous sorting. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats, favoring gentle extractions with the inclusion of a portion of whole clusters. After a maceration period of two to three weeks, the wine is transferred to barrels as soon as it is run off. Aging is carried out using 40% new barrels, 30% one-wine barrels, and 30% amphorae, before bottling at the château. Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.

    Grape varieties
