    Decanter

Vanilla and tobacco leaves reveal abundant blackberry and blackcurrant leaves, accompanied by savory dark spices. Fresh red plum brightens a palate of black fruits and Assam tea. The cassis sweetness is refreshed by firm acidity and supported by ripe tannic grip. A muscular Bordeaux blend, aged in oak for 12–15 months (30% new).

Medium-bodied, fresh, forward and fruity, with a light red-berry presence on the palate and an earthy, savory touch in the red-berry finish that will be best enjoyed in its youth. Drink from 2023–2031. 87–89

Carefully crafted smoky aromatics with gentle clove spices and well-balanced red fruits. A slightly uneven finish in its acidities, with touches of crab apple and green pepper. The 2021 Senejac has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. It features notes of sautéed herbs and underbrush, opening to a core of kirsch and wild strawberries. The medium-bodied palate is chewy and a little tart, with a sour cherry finish.

    La RVF

Lovers of easy-drinking, digestible Médocs, focused on fruit, will be delighted with this Sénéjac 2021 from a “light” vintage. The wine is supple, with a slight vegetal character nonetheless, but also a gourmand side that makes it a great match for good bistro-style cuisine.

    Le Figaro Vin

Toasty on the nose, it reveals notes of graphite and slate. The oak is slightly too prominent on the palate, but the wine is nonetheless juicy, smooth, caressing, with a lovely finish.

Sénéjac clearly shows its élevage and a mineral touch, followed by nuances of black berries and eucalyptus. Medium in density, it has supportive tannins that need time to blossom while ensuring power and potential.

The nose is fruit-driven and offers a touch of power/concentration as well as a certain brightness of fruit. It reveals notes of vibrant raspberry, fleshy cherry and, more subtly, violet, joined by hints of blackberry, tangy small purple plum, and fine almost-star-anise nuances. The palate is fruity, discreetly tight, and delivers tanginess, a certain energy, and a lively acid-driven backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy raspberry, juicy/tangy cherry and, more subtly, fresh lily, combined with hints of pistil/white lilac, fine touches of racy minerality, and a hint of tonka bean/cardamom. Good length.
