    Description

A Saint-Julien wine with an alluring finesse and aromatic expression

    The estate

A 4th Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, Château Talbot is one of the most iconic references of the Médoc. Acquired by Desire Cordier in 1918, Château Talbot is today managed by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her husband, Jean-Paul Bignon.

    The vineyard

Situated in the heart of the appellation, Château Talbot 2021 is a Saint-Julien wine that stems from a 93.8-hectares single-block vineyard. These vines, which are 41 years old on average, enjoy an ideal location on the banks of the Gironde estuary and rest on ridges of Médoc gravel and alluvial deposits.

    Winemaking and ageing

The grapes are harvested by hand and then sorted (manually and optically) before being vinified in wooden vats. The wine is aged for 15 months in barrels, 60% of which are new.

    Blend

Château Talbot 2021 comprises a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (71%), Merlot (24%) and Petit Verdot (5%).
