    Tasting

    Colour
This wine reveals a brilliant pale gold hue of great clarity.

    Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with woody, floral and fruity notes, dominated by grapefruit and gooseberry. With aeration, a subtle mineral thread delicately emerges.

Endowed with exceptional aging potential, this Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2024 can be cellared for many years and will continue to improve until around 2050.

The Elegance and Minerality of a Great White Burgundy Wine

    The Estate

Founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley, Domaine Faiveley is a true institution located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, at the heart of Burgundy. Now led by the seventh generation, embodied by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the estate oversees a vast vineyard holding of over 120 hectares. Building on historic expertise and a contemporary vision, the estate has evolved its style toward greater finesse and mineral expression, while committing to a strong environmental approach, crowned by organic farming certification in 2025.

    The Vineyard

Acquired in 1874, the 0.87-hectare plot from which this wine originates lies within the prestigious Corton-Charlemagne appellation, in the Côte de Beaune. Facing east on the upper part of the slope, between 305 and 360 metres in altitude, the vines—some of which were planted in the 1930s—thrive on soils composed of grey marl, clay and a limestone bedrock. This terroir benefits from a cool microclimate swept by north-easterly winds, promoting optimal vine health.

    The Vintage

2024 was a particularly demanding year in terms of weather. The growing cycle was marked by excessive rainfall and high humidity, leading to significant fungal pressure, notably from mildew. These difficult conditions required relentless manual labour and constant attention in the vineyards to preserve the health of the grapes while upholding organic farming principles.

    Winemaking and Aging

After hand-harvesting and rigorous sorting, the grapes destined for the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2024 are gently pressed by gravity. Fermentation is triggered by indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels, about two-thirds of which are new and lightly toasted. The wine is then aged on the lees for fourteen to eighteen months within the estate's historic nineteenth-century vaulted cellars, ensuring ideal temperature and humidity conditions.

    Grape Variety

    100% Chardonnay.
