Characteristics and tasting tips for the First Flight 2025 from Domaine Graeme & Julie Bott
Serving and cellaring
This First Flight 2025 has the ageing potential to develop and be enjoyed until around 2030.
A generous and precise Viognier from the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes
The estate
Founded in 2015, Domaine Graeme & Julie Bott is the result of the tireless work of its current owners, Graeme and Julie Bott. Starting from scratch with no inherited land, they cleared and restored abandoned terraces in the Rhône Valley. Now based in Ampuis, the estate covers 12 hectares, all worked entirely by hand. Combining Graeme's New Zealand expertise with Julie's local roots, the couple quickly established themselves as a leading reference, recognised for their plot-by-plot approach and deep respect for terroir.
The vineyard
This cuvée comes from the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes. The vines thrive on granite soils in the communes of Ampuis and Condrieu. These plots benefit from a geological setting similar to that of the neighbouring crus, offering ideal conditions for a high-quality expression of the grape variety.
Grape variety
This wine is made exclusively from Viognier (100%).
