The estate
Arnaud, Lionel and Jean-Christophe Bourgeois are the third generation at the helm of the family estate founded in 1950 by Henri Bourgeois. Covering 72 hectares, the vineyard of Domaine Henri Bourgeois stretches across a mosaic of terroirs made up of clay-limestone soils, Kimmeridgian marls and flint, all of which contribute to the signature of each of these Loire wines. Through the passion and rigour they apply to both vineyard management and plot-by-plot vinification, of which they were among the pioneers, the Bourgeois family produces wines renowned for their quality, finesse and precision.

La Bourgeoise 2016
Taking its name from a former lieu-dit once cultivated by the monks of St-Satur, La Bourgeoise 2016 is a red Sancerre wine made exclusively from Pinot Noir sourced from old vines planted on clay-siliceous soils with a south-west exposure. This wine reveals a beautiful ruby colour, an elegant nose blending vanilla and ripe red fruits, along with a powerful and concentrated palate.
ES-56 Red 2020
Formerly known as La Bourgeoise, the ES-56 cuvée now takes its name from the initials of "Éocène Silex", in tribute to its exceptional terroir. Made from old Pinot Noir vines planted on clay-siliceous soils with a south-west exposure, near the historic slopes of St-Satur, this red Sancerre benefits from the presence of flint stones that release at night the heat accumulated during the day, ensuring optimal ripening of the grapes. In the glass, it reveals an elegant ruby colour with garnet highlights, a generous nose of vanilla and luscious red fruits, along with a dense, balanced palate of assertive character.
