The estate
The Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes has been established in the heart of the Morgon appellation, in Beaujolais, since 1772. A key figure in the region, Louis-Claude Desvignes elevated the estate to the rank of major references. Desvignes cuvées are unanimously praised by the press and international critics. Today, Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît, representatives of the 8th generation of winegrowers, run the estate.
The vineyard
This Javernières "Les Impénitents" is a Morgon wine made from vineyards located at the bottom of the Côte du Py. Including plantings from 1912 and others around 60 years old depending on the plots, this terroir rests on clays veined with iron oxides giving the wine a beautiful structure.
Grape variety
The Javernières "Les Impénitents" 2024 from Louis-Claude Desvignes is made exclusively from Gamay.
