Appearance
In its youth, this wine reveals a beautiful golden hue adorned with green highlights.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet elegantly blends scents of white flowers and white- and yellow-fleshed fruits such as peach, pear and apple. Subtle buttery, smoky and brioche notes, inherited from its ageing, enrich the whole.
Palate
The palate stands out with a round texture and beautiful breadth, typical of its terroir. This richness is perfectly balanced by a noble acidity, leading to a finish of remarkable mineral persistence.
Food and wine pairings
This great gastronomic white wine sublimates noble fish such as turbot or sole meunière, as well as shellfish like roasted lobster or langoustine. It also pairs wonderfully with poultry in a creamy mushroom sauce, or with aged cooked pressed cheeses such as Comté.

The estate
Officially founded in 1930 by Pierre Ramonet, Domaine Ramonet is a true institution in France, located in the heart of Burgundy. Today, the estate spans nearly 19.75 hectares and is run by brothers Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, the latter overseeing the winemaking. Renowned worldwide for the excellence of its white wines, the family perpetuates a know-how combining tradition and precision, with a rigorous selection of grapes and tightly controlled yields to express the very essence of its prestigious terroirs.
The vineyard
This wine comes from a 1.22-hectare plot located in the historic climat of Morgeot, to the south of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. This renowned terroir rests on deep soils of brown clay and limestone, mingled with marl and gravel. The estate practises demanding viticulture with a high planting density, a predominantly massal selection and entirely manual harvesting. Only grapes from vines over 18 years old are kept to craft this cuvée.
Winemaking and ageing
After meticulous sorting, the grapes of the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" 2022 undergo a very gentle whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperatures, over an extended period of three to six weeks. The wine then benefits from ageing on fine lees for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood of around one third.
