The richness and elegance of a Rhône Valley red

    The estate
Founded in 1946 in Ampuis by Étienne Guigal, E. Guigal is a leading reference in the Rhône Valley. His son Marcel took over in 1961 before passing the helm to the third generation, still guided by respect for family savoir-faire. The estate is renowned for its exacting quality standards and its presence in the most prestigious Rhône appellations. In 1995, E. Guigal distinguished itself by acquiring Château d’Ampuis, a jewel of wine heritage, followed by the integration of renowned properties such as Jean-Louis Grippat, Domaine de Vallouit, and Château de Nalys in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

    The vineyard
This cuvée comes from plots rooted in soils typical of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, combining rounded pebbles and red clay. These terroirs, emblematic of the Southern Rhône Valley, bring richness, depth, and a singular identity to the wine.

    Winemaking and aging
The grapes are handled using traditional methods, with a long maceration of around four weeks. Aging for 36 months in large oak casks allows for optimal tannin integration and imparts great aromatic complexity.

    Blend
Old-vine grenache, mourvèdre, syrah, and other varieties.
