A handcrafted reposado tequila from Jalisco
Fortaleza, excellence since 1873
The family-owned distillery Fortaleza is run by the Ofigenio family and located in Tequila, in the Jalisco region of Mexico. Renowned for its long tradition of crafting high-quality tequilas, this House has upheld ancestral artisanal know-how since 1873. Fortaleza embodies authenticity and respect for traditional Mexican methods, producing exceptional spirits that win over enthusiasts worldwide with their unique character and aromatic depth.
A reposado made according to traditional methods
Fortaleza Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, selected by hand. Production follows a fully artisanal process: the agave is cooked in a traditional stone oven, then crushed with a stone using ancestral methods. Fermentation takes place in outdoor wooden vats, before double distillation in copper pot stills.
Each bottle is hand-blown in Mexico, making every one unique. This reposado is aged for between 6 and 9 months in American oak barrels, during which it develops rare aromatic complexity. This artisanal approach and respect for tradition make Fortaleza Reposado an exceptional tequila, prized by connoisseurs.
