Gérard Bertrand : Château La Sauvageonne "Grand Vin" 2020

Deep purple color with a nose of stewed black fruits, spices, and notes of garrigue. A clean attack and supple tannins; silky and broad on the palate with a hint of cocoa. This wine combines power and elegance, roundness and freshness. Selected old vines on ruffe and schist soils with low yields. Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, all hand-harvested, are vinified separately, then blended and aged in new barrels for 12 to 15 months. It embodies the typicity of the appellation, driven by its distinctive Grenache, offering balance and indulgence: a great wine calling for fine cuisine, preferably wintery and meat-based.
