Grand Vin Blanc Sec "Vieilles Vignes" 2023

An excellent dry white, exuding acacia and orange blossom aromas, it has a delicate yet deep palate profile, with white peach, grapefruit and spring flower leading to a long, seashell-fresh finish. Yet more proof of the success of the dry whites in 2023. Ageing in 9% new oak will result in greater palate breadth.

57% Sémillon, 43% Sauvignon Blanc. Cask sample. Citrus aroma with a hint of vanilla oak. Pure, harmonious palate with ample fruit and decent length. A touch of salinity on the finish. (JL)

The 2023 Grand Vin Blanc Sec Vieilles Vignes is bright, tense and wonderfully focused. Citrus peel, chalk, mint, white pepper, and chamomile bristle with tension. All the elements are so well balanced. There's a feeling of transparency in the 2023 that I find incredibly alluring.

The aromatic profile evokes a Sauternes, with honeyed citrus, flowers, candied orange rind, and vanilla bean. But then the palate has its own story, with a lush, energetic, crisp, and spicy, fruit-laden profile with a racy, citrus endnote that really hangs with you. You can enjoy this on release and for up to a decade, and maybe longer after that. The wine is a blend of 57% Semillon and 43% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink from 2026-2035.

Vinified and then aged in barrels (12% new) for 9 months, Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes reveals notes of coconut, quince and lemon. A subtle, smooth touch appears on the attack and is quickly taken over by the lively structure and fine bitters that bring intensity, freshness and length. A commanding wine to enjoy at the table.

An expressive white, with a pretty burst of apricot and white nectarine that glides through, plus orange blossom, quinine and bitter almond notes. Focused finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2027. 1,160 cases made.

Aromatic. This cuvée is an ode to Suduiraut's old Sémillion and Sauvignon vines. Citrus peel, boxwood, nectarine, fresh herbs, well-balanced. Small production of 13,687 bottles and 120 magnums.
