    Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of Puligny-Montrachet Village 2025

    Tasting

    Appearance
This white wine displays remarkable clarity, with a beautiful crystalline brightness.

    Nose
Delicate, the bouquet reveals subtle notes of white flowers and fine herbs reminiscent of vetiver, harmoniously underlined by a discreet woody touch evoking liquorice.

    Palate
Ample and generous, the palate of this Puligny-Montrachet Village is perfectly balanced by a lovely mineral tension, delivering immediate tasting pleasure.

    Food and wine pairing

This white wine pairs beautifully with noble fish such as turbot or sea bass, shellfish like lobster, as well as white meats and poultry served with a creamy sauce of cream and mushrooms.

    Serving and cellaring

It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 16 and 18°C. While it offers immediate pleasure in its youth, it also has the necessary structure to evolve favourably for several years in the cellar.

The elegance and purity of a great white Burgundy

    The estate

Founded in 1859 by the cooper Jean-Édouard Dupard, Domaine Jean Chartron stands as an essential historical figure in Burgundy. Located on the prestigious Côte de Beaune, the estate extends over 14.5 hectares and stands out for its ownership of several monopole clos. Today, management is entrusted to Jean-Michel Chartron, supported by his sister Anne-Laure. Together, the current owners perpetuate demanding family expertise, championing sustainable viticulture to reveal all the finesse of their great terroirs.

    The vineyard

The vines giving birth to this cuvée thrive within the village appellation of Puligny-Montrachet. This exceptional terroir rests on limestone soils dotted with marls rich in fossils. Keen to preserve the vitality of the land, the estate cultivates its plots according to non-certified organic principles, excluding synthetic products in favour of mechanical soil work.

    Vinification and ageing

The making of this Puligny-Montrachet Village Jean Chartron 2025 is based on a clear philosophy: a measured use of oak so as not to mask the identity of the terroir. The wine benefits from careful ageing on fine lees in oak barrels, bringing volume and complexity, before finishing its refinement in vat.
