Strong ruby, light ochre reflections, broader brightening on the rim. Delicately savoury plum fruit, notes of cassis and sweet cherry, candied orange zest and noble wood in the background. Complex, juicy palate with fine ripeness, pickled cherry and ripe tannins. Long with some nougat on the finish. Definite ageing potential.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Lacoste-Borie charges out with bombastic notes of stewed black plums, boysenberry preserves, and blackcurrant cordial with wafts of dried herbs and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied, the palate is soft and refreshing, delivering impactful black fruit preserves flavors with a spicy lift on the finish.

Good fruit intensity with notes of cherries and blackcurrant. On the palate, the wine is sleek, delicious, and well supported by its tannins. There is muscle, a touch of fleshiness, and a pleasant freshness. A wine with character.
