The estate
Man and human activity occupy a central place within this estate. Eugenio is the originator of this wine project. It is thanks to his determination and the passion of this man that Le Macchiole was born. His premature death did not end his dream. His wife, Cinzia, with the help of the oenologist Luca D'Attoma, decided to continue his adventure. After years of work and accomplishment, the wines are today unanimously acclaimed by critics. The work of this estate takes place mainly in the vineyard. Here, the philosophy is respect for the natural cycles of life. This respect is also found in the vinification of these great Italian wines.
The vineyard
The Bolgheri Rosso from Domaine Le Macchiole is a Bolgheri wine, whose vineyards are located at altitude on a terroir overlooking the sea. The vines rest on soils composed of limestone, white clay, and marl.
Blend
The Bolgheri Rosso 2023 from Domaine Le Macchiole is made from a blend of merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, and syrah.
