The property

Owned by the Michel family for several generations, Domaine Le Vieux Donjon has established itself as an essential reference of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Initially a producer of grapes sold in bulk at the beginning of the 20th century, the estate took off in the 1970s under the impetus of Lucien and Marie-José Michel. They developed viticulture and started marketing wines bottled at the estate from the 1980s, with a growing reputation internationally.

Today led by the new generation, Claire and François Michel, Le Vieux Donjon perpetuates a refined and authentic style. Vinified in concrete vats and aged in large casks, the wines stand out for their finesse and consistency.

The vineyard

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate oversees a vineyard of about fifteen hectares, the majority of which is dedicated to the production of red wines.

Blend

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 Blanc from Domaine Le Vieux Donjon is the result of a blend of white grenache, roussanne and clairette.
