A Burgundy Premier Cru from the Côte de Beaune combining generosity and finesse

    The estate
Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour, Maison Louis Latour has embodied Burgundian excellence for eleven generations. Based in Aloxe-Corton, it owns around 50 hectares of vineyards, including 28,6 hectares of Grands Crus, making it the largest owner of Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. The house is particularly renowned for its role in replanting the vineyards after phylloxera.

    The vineyard
The Les Chaillots climat takes its name from the stony, rocky nature of its soils, "caillou" meaning "pebble" in French. Louis Latour looks after more than 90 % of the total area of this Premier Cru in Aloxe-Corton. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, are rooted in soils composed of clay, sand and alluvial gravel.

    Winemaking and aging
After manual harvesting, Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru "Les Chaillots" 2023 is traditionally vinified in open vats, with full malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 10 à 12 months in French oak barrels from the Tonnellerie Louis Latour, with medium toast and 35 % new oak.

    Grape variety
    100% Pinot Noir.
