A Burgundy Grand Cru with Silky Tannins and Remarkable Freshness

The Estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Beaune, the domaine Louis Latour remains an independent family estate run by the eleventh generation. Based in Burgundy, it is the largest Grand Cru domaine in the Côte d'Or, with prestigious parcels such as Corton-Charlemagne and Chambertin. A pioneer in adopting modern techniques while preserving traditional methods, Louis Latour stands out for its exceptional family continuity spanning more than two centuries.

The Vineyard

Le Clos de la Vigne au Saint benefits from a privileged location on the Corton hill, with a full-south exposure on outcrops of bedrock. The soils, rich in red marls and limestone, give the wine its Burgundian typicity. The vines, averaging 40 years old, are managed with a controlled yield of 35 hectoliters per hectare and hand-harvested to preserve grape quality.

Winemaking and Aging

Traditional vinification in open tanks with complete malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage, with 35% new wood at medium toast, allowing harmonious integration of the wood while preserving the expression of the terroir.

Grape Variety

This Grand Cru is made exclusively from Pinot Noir.
