The freshness and precision of a great white wine from Burgundy

    The Estate

Founded in 1797, Louis Latour is now represented by the 11th generation, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour. As a négociant-éleveur, Louis Latour owns the largest estate of Grands Crus in Burgundy.

    The Vineyard

The largest commune in Côte-d’Or producing white wines, Meursault is located south of Volnay and Pommard in the Côte de Beaune. While Meursault has no Grands Crus, the outstanding quality of its Premiers Crus has made it a benchmark renowned by lovers of great Burgundy wines worldwide. Exclusively owned by Louis Latour, the Château de Blagny oversees an exceptional vineyard. With an average vine age of 30 years, the plots are situated at the top of the hillside overlooking Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This exceptional terroir for chardonnay is characterized by marl and limestone soils, giving rise to Meursault wines of great freshness, elegance, and excellent aging potential.

    Winemaking and Aging

Once the grapes are hand-harvested, fermentation takes place traditionally in oak barrels with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels (35% new barrels) from Louis Latour’s own cooperage.

    Grape Variety
    Chardonnay (100%).
