The freshness and precision of a great white wine from Burgundy

    The estate

Founded in 1797, the House Louis Latour is now represented by the 11th generation, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour. A négociant-éleveur, the Louis Latour house owns the largest Grands Crus estate in Burgundy.

    The vineyard

The largest white-wine-producing commune in the Côte-d’Or, Meursault lies south of Volnay and Pommard in the Côte de Beaune. While Meursault has no Grands Crus, the outstanding quality of its Premiers Crus makes it a world-renowned reference among lovers of great Burgundy wines. Exclusive property of the Louis Latour house, Château de Blagny watches over an exceptional vineyard. Averaging 30 years of age, the vines are located on the upper slopes overlooking Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This outstanding Chardonnay terroir is characterized by marl and limestone soils, giving rise to Meursault wines with great freshness, elegance, and excellent aging potential.

    Winemaking and aging

After the manual harvest, fermentation is carried out traditionally in oak barrels, with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels (35% new), sourced from the Louis Latour cooperage.

    Grape variety
    Chardonnay (100%).
