Colour
The wine shows a beautiful ruby hue.
Nose
The nose offers a fresh expression of red fruit aromas such as cherry, strawberry and raspberry, subtly underscored by delicate woody and spicy notes.
Palate
Silky and generous, the palate charms with exceptionally fine tannins. The fruity intensity unfolds harmoniously, leading to a finish of beautiful length.
Food and Wine Pairing
Ideal with Burgundian specialities such as snails in parsley butter, this red wine is also a wonderful match for white or red meats, charcuterie platters and classic bistro dishes.
Serving and Cellaring
Offered en primeur, this Santenay Village 2025 calls for a little patience and will not be ready to enjoy in 2026. It will reveal its full potential after a few years in the cellar and can be enjoyed until around 2033. For optimal enjoyment, we recommend serving it at a temperature between 17 and 19 °C.

The Estate
Founded in 1984 by Olivier Leflaive, the eponymous Maison is a key player in Burgundy. Located on the legendary village square of Puligny-Montrachet, this family-owned estate now farms 26 hectares of its own and vinifies the equivalent of 100 hectares through a haute couture négociant business. Firmly committed to environmental responsibility, certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (Level 3) and inspired by biodynamics, the estate is now led by Julie Leflaive, who took over from her father in 2020 to carry on this legacy of excellence.
The Vineyard
Located at the southern edge of the Côte de Beaune, the Santenay terroir stands out for its size and diversity. The Pinot Noir vines, averaging around 40 years of age, thrive at an altitude of between 250 and 300 metres. They grow on slopes with brown limestone soils, which become enriched with clay and silt in the lower-lying areas. The vineyard is managed using sustainable farming methods, with all grapes harvested entirely by hand to preserve the quality of the berries.
Vinification and Maturation
To craft this Santenay Village 2025, the grapes are fully destemmed before undergoing fermentation in open vats for approximately twenty days. Maturation then continues for 16 months, mostly in oak barrels with 18% new wood, followed by four months in stainless steel tanks, in order to refine the structure while preserving the brightness of the fruit.
