Opus One is the fruit of a dream shared by two iconic figures in the wine world: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, renowned winemaker of Napa Valley.
The vineyard
Considered a legend among Californian wines, Opus One originates from vineyards located in the heart of the Oakville appellation. This genuine "Grand Cru" symbolizes the union of two winemaking traditions to achieve the quintessence of a unique cru, of flawless quality.
The wine
Produced since 1993, Overture is the Second Wine of Opus One. Crafted with the same rigor as its elder, this cuvée expresses the estate's technical know-how as well as the identity of the great Californian terroirs through the Blend of several vintages.
