    Description

The refinement and balance of a Burgundy 1er cru red wine

    The estate
Founded in 2009 under the name Domaine des Terres de Velle, the estate was acquired in July 2023 by the Solexia group and renamed Domaine Pierre Vincent in 2024. Owned by Hervé Kratiroff and Eric Versini, it is managed by Pierre Vincent, former CEO of Domaine Leflaive. Established in Auxey-Duresses in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, this seven-hectare estate cultivates sixteen prestigious appellations, including Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru and several Premiers Crus. Its vines, with an average age of 58 years, are progressively being converted to biodynamics, producing limited micro-cuvées of fewer than 900 bottles.

    The vineyard
This Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er cru "Les Vergelesses" comes from a plot of nearly 0.5 ha, planted between 1989 and 1999, resting on limestone soils.

    Winemaking and ageing
Long and gentle pressing followed by overnight settling. Fermentation partly in stainless steel tanks before barreling (15% new barrels) for malolactic fermentation. Ageing lasts 12 months, completed by 6 months of maturation in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

    Grape variety
This Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er cru "Les Vergelesses" 2023 is 100% pinot noir.
