The estate

A pioneer, Doctor Osea Perrone acquired land in 1885 in the Dry Creek Valley area and planted vines on this clay-limestone terroir. The first vintage was produced in 1892.

Purchased in 1959 and renamed in 1962 “Ridge Vineyards,” the estate expanded its vineyard holdings and enlisted California winemaker Paul Draper to make the property an icon among the greatest Californian wines.

Ridge Vineyards oversees an exceptional vineyard farmed organically, renowned for the quality of its wines made with a non-interventionist approach that showcases the purest expression of fruit.

Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Ridge Vineyards is a Californian wine crafted from vineyards with clay-limestone soils located within the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA.

Winemaking and aging

Hand-harvested and fully destemmed before whole-berry fermentation with native yeasts. Natural malolactic fermentation. Aged for 22 months in exclusively American oak barrels.

Blend

This 2022 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Ridge Vineyards is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), Petit Verdot (9%) and Merlot (5%).
