Albert Bichot : Chambertin Grand cru Dom. du Clos Frantin 2017

The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru has a pastille-like purity on the nose of wild strawberry, red currant, rose petals and a touch of sous-bois. A hint of star anise develops in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red cherries, clementine and a touch of curry leaf and sous-bois. This shows impressive complexity on the linear, focused, impressively persistent finish.
