Bright medium red. Pungent aromas of red cherry, raspberry, licorice, fresh herbs and minerals, plus a whiff of leather. Juicy, intense and taut, with noteworthy energy giving a light touch to the red berry and salty mineral flavors. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and noteworthy persistence. Conveys an impression of noble rusticity and yet this rather polished Beaune wine has class too. Riper and finer in bottle than it appeared to be from the barrel.

Domaine Monopole 2010 Beaune 1er cru Clos de La Mousse shows a violet-tinted garnet colour. The expressive nose offers a good complexity with dark berries, leather, and woodland notes. This Burgundy wine is perfectly balanced with a delicate yet sophisticated palate. Maison Bouchard Père & Fils presented a Beaune 1er cru of great character and obvious elegance. Domaine Monopole 2010 Beaune 1er cru Clos de La Mousse is a wine to keep.
