Pierre Péters : Cuvée Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru

The NV Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut is entirely from the 2014 vintage and was sourced from four parcels in the Côte des Blancs. It opens with potted ginger and white flowers on the clear, fresh, precise and chalky nose. On the palate, this is a pure, fresh, elegant, beautifully dry and chalky grand cru with an expressive, stimulating, iodine-tinged finish that reveals persistent structure and freshness. This is a damned serious and chalky Blanc de Blancs that was disgorged in January 2018 with just two grams of dosage. Tasted at the domaine in April 2018.

A fresh, vivid Champagne with a tight, lively frame of acidity and fruit. Medium body, good density and an energetic finish. Chalky and intense. 36 months on lees. Disgorged December 2023. 2 g/L dosage. Drink now.
