Characteristics and tasting tips for Taittinger Nocturne Rosé
Tasting
Colour
A radiant pink with intense highlights, this champagne captivates with its vibrancy. A fine effervescence forms a delicate ring of mousse, promising finesse and elegance.
Nose
Generous and fleshy, the bouquet reveals delicious notes of pastry.
Palate
The attack is both clean and broad, carried by remarkable freshness. The structure is well defined, supported by exceptionally soft tannins. Altogether, this is a rosé champagne that is at once voluptuous, structured and harmonious.
The precision and creaminess of a rosé champagne
The estate
The story of the Champagne Taittinger house began in the early 20th century. Led by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and his two children, Clovis and Vitalie, Maison Taittinger has preserved its family spirit, producing champagnes with a distinctly Chardonnay-driven style. Since 1 January 2020, Vitalie Taittinger has been President of the Champagne Taittinger house.
The vineyard
The Champagne Taittinger vineyard covers 288 hectares of vines and comprises 37 different crus. Taittinger thus owns the third-largest vineyard in Champagne. The entire vineyard is certified High Environmental Value.
The cuvée
Crafted from some thirty different crus, "Nocturne" is a rosé champagne which, thanks to long ageing of four years in the cellar, elegantly expresses the great terroirs of Champagne.
Blend
Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%). The final blend includes 15% still red wine, made from a rigorous selection of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys.
