    Description

A whisky crafted from a blend of three French distilleries

    Michel Couvreur, the visionary

Born in Belgium in 1928, Michel Couvreur began his career as a Burgundy wine merchant before becoming an independent whisky bottler. Renowned for his unique maturation approach, his singularity lies in the art of aging Scottish distillates in Sherry and Port casks in his Burgundian cellars, which offer ideal conditions for maturation. Celebrated for their complexity, these whiskies are produced in limited quantities and are highly sought after by connoisseurs.

Following his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen, supported by Marthe, Michel’s wife, and their daughter Alexandra, have carried on the philosophy of excellence and the pioneering vision of this illustrious Maison.

An aromatic and silky limited-edition cuvée

"Hexagone" by Michel Couvreur is a French whisky crafted from a blend of 5 casks aged between 4 and 14 years, sourced from three French distilleries.

These casks previously held Fino (2017), whisky (2011), Pedro Ximenez (2017), Oloroso (2011), and Chardonnay from the Jura (2020). Each of these components reveals its own identity through the blend: the finesse of Fino, the vibrancy of Chardonnay, as well as the indulgence of Pedro Ximenez, and the depth of Oloroso and whisky.

This spirit is produced in a limited run of just 1,400 bottles and 36 magnums.
