    Appearance

    The wine displays a deep ruby-red color with bluish highlights.

    Nose

    Intense and complex, the nose reveals aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry, alongside notes of dried prunes and almonds. Spicy touches of black and white pepper complete this aromatic bouquet.

    Palate

    On the palate, the wine is generous and enveloping, carried by vibrant acidity and round tannins. The finish is long and velvety, offering lovely aromatic persistence.

    The estate

    The VIK estate is located in the Cachapoal Valley, in the heart of Chile’s Central Valley, more precisely in Millahue. The property stands out for its meticulous winegrowing approach and its commitment to the authentic expression of its terroirs, producing wines renowned for their quality and distinctive character.

    The vineyard

    The vines of A Carmenere 2023 are planted in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley. This Central Valley vineyard benefits from a temperate Mediterranean climate with maritime influence. The deep, porous soils, made up of decomposed granite, provide excellent drainage, encouraging the varietals to express themselves at their best.

    Winemaking and aging

    A Carmenere 2023 is aged for 12 to 15 months in French "Barroir" barrels, toasted with oak sourced from the property, allowing this Chilean wine to develop complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit.
