Description
Vincent Girardin: The Elegance of a Bourgogne White Wine
The Estate
Founded in 1980 by a 19-year-old winemaker, Vincent Girardin, the estate draws its roots from a centuries-old viticultural tradition. Heir to a winemaking family since the 17th century, Vincent transformed his family's two hectares into a prestigious name in the Côte de Beaune. Since 2000, Éric Germain has continued this passion, revealing with finesse the exceptional terroirs of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
The Vineyard
This vin de Puligny-Montrachet is made from 40-year-old vines rooted in calcareous clay-marl soils, producing a remarkably elegant Chardonnay.
Winemaking and Aging
Each cluster is carefully selected, first in the vineyard then in the cellar. A gentle pressing, fermentation in French oak barrels (15% new) with indigenous yeasts, aging on fine lees for 14 months without bâtonnage: each step is designed to preserve the essence of the terroir.
