Exceptionally refined and racy, this has terrific Amalfi lemon freshness and white peach fruit on the very focused, medium-bodied palate. Incredible drive in the super-long finish. The aromatic finesse of the wild flower, peach and Amalfi lemon nose is almost as great as the textural finesse. Incredible delicacy in the super-long finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold.

An expressive and elegant German white wine

    The estate

For over 250 years, Weingut Dönnhoff has tended a unique terroir of vertiginous slopes along the banks of the Nahe. Vintage after vintage, Helmut Dönnhoff crafts great German wines from a mosaic of terroirs, expressing the complexity, purity, and multiple nuances of Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris.

Recognized beyond borders as among the world’s greatest white wines, the wines of Weingut Dönnhoff captivate with their elegance, aromatic richness, freshness, and exceptional minerality that unfurls after several decades of aging.

    The vineyard

Covering 25 hectares, Weingut Dönnhoff’s terroir is distinguished by its diversity of soils and exposures, offering ideal conditions for grapes to reach optimal ripeness. Meticulously tended, the 20- to 70-year-old vines produce great German wines from low, highly qualitative yields.

    The wine

Classified VDP Grosse Lage, this Nahe wine comes from 15- to 55-year-old vines rooted on steep terraces with soils of slate and weathered volcanic rock (porphyry). This natural rocky terroir shelters the vineyard and enables it to achieve excellent ripeness.

    Winemaking and aging

100% manual, selective harvest. Fermentation and maturation in stainless-steel tanks and traditional oak casks.

    Grape variety

    100% Riesling.
