The estate

Renowned oenologist, Xavier Vignon has built an international reputation by putting his expertise at the service of more than 200 estates and participating in the creation of the greatest wines of the Rhône Valley, notably in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 2002, he decided to create his own cuvées under the "Xavier" signature, carefully selecting the best juices from different parcels. Freed from the constraints of terroir and grape variety, Xavier Vignon thus composes wines in his image: accessible, modern, and offering remarkable value for money. This is how 100% Xavier was born.

The wine

Made from a selection of old vines planted on limestone pebble and marl soils, this Cairanne wine signed Xavier Vignon seduces with its intensity and elegance.

Vinification and aging

Harvested at full maturity, the berries benefit from a long cold maceration associated with vigorous punch-downs. The extractions are deliberately stopped at the beginning of fermentation to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The aging, carried out exclusively in concrete tanks, allows to preserve all the aromatic freshness brought by the altitude of the vineyard.

Blend

This Cairanne 2020 signed Xavier Vignon is the result of a blend of grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, cinsault and marselan.
