A Côtes du Rhône born from the blend of northern Syrah and southern Grenache, signed Xavier Vignon
The Estate
Xavier Vignon is a négociant and winemaking house founded in 2005 in the Rhône Valley, between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Beaumes-de-Venise. It is run by Xavier Vignon, oenologist and consultant, who today farms a vineyard of around 35 hectares, notably in the Dentelles de Montmirail. The house is distinguished by its art of multi-vintage blending, inspired by Champagne.
The Vineyard
This Côtes du Rhône combines a Syrah of northern inspiration with a Grenache of southern inspiration, sourced from plots with varied terroirs, chosen to best express each of the two grape varieties. SM 4th Édition is a non-vintage cuvée, made from the blending of several vintages following the logic specific to the SM series, inspired by the multi-vintage reserves used in Champagne.
Grape Varieties
Syrah and Grenache.
