The estate
The Picard family's winemaking story began in 1951, but it was in the late 2000s that Francine Picard, the current owner, founded the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate. Located in the heart of Burgundy, this exceptional property oversees a 35-hectare vineyard spread across prestigious villages. Guided by a philosophy that respects the environment and embraces biodynamic practices, the estate stands out for its ability to produce delicate and precise wines that faithfully reflect the richness of its terroirs.
The vineyard
Spanning renowned terroirs in Burgundy, the vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils rich in minerals. Reaching between 220 and 340 metres in altitude, the vines benefit from an ideal south-east exposure and steep slopes that promote optimal natural drainage. Vine management is rigorous, with natural grass cover and strict yield limitation to ensure perfect aeration of the bunches as they develop.
Grape variety
100% pinot noir.
