Description
Characteristics and tasting notes of the Chassagne-Montrachet Village "En Pimont" 2024 from Au Pied du Mont Chauve
Tasting
Appearance
The wine reveals a delicate pale yellow hue tinged with light gold, enhanced by a crystalline brightness.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens on scents of springtime white flowers, mingled with notes of peach, candied lemon and fresh almond. Subtle mineral and flinty touches round out this palette.
Palate
Generous and velvety, the palate stands out for its lovely saline tension and vibrant minerality. The natural acidity brings great freshness and precision, stretching towards a long, lingering finish with chalky accents.
Food and wine pairings
This white wine pairs beautifully with delicate fish such as sole meunière, with seafood like oysters or prawns, but also with a mushroom risotto or herb-roasted poultry.
Serving and cellaring
For an optimal tasting of the Chassagne-Montrachet Village "En Pimont" 2024, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 11 and 13°C, after a light aeration. This wine can be enjoyed in its youth but has the cellaring potential to evolve until around 2034.

The estate
Founded in the late 2000s by Francine Picard, the current owner, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate shines in the heart of Burgundy. Heir to a family expertise begun in the 1950s, she now manages a vast vineyard whose plots stretch across the finest appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Deeply committed to an environmentally respectful approach, the estate stands out for its certified biodynamic viticulture. The wines produced thus reflect with great accuracy the identity and richness of their original terroirs.
The vineyard
The cuvée comes from the En Pimont climat, located on the heights of Chassagne-Montrachet at around 250 metres altitude. Facing east, the vines benefit from ideal morning sunshine and a slope that ensures excellent drainage. Planted in the mid-1970s, this terroir of approximately three hectares lies on shallow brown limestone soils scattered with rocks. The vineyard is entirely cultivated according to biodynamic principles, with soil work carried out exclusively with a horse to preserve the ecosystem.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
