The estate
Created in the late 2000s by Francine Picard, the current owner, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate stands out in the heart of Burgundy. Heir to a family expertise initiated in the 1950s, she now manages a vast vineyard whose plots extend across the finest appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Deeply committed to an environmentally respectful approach, the property distinguishes itself through viticulture certified in biodynamics. The wines produced thus reflect with great accuracy the identity and richness of their original terroirs.
The vineyard
The cuvée comes from the En Pimont climat, located on the heights of Chassagne-Montrachet at an altitude of approximately 250 metres. East-facing, the vines benefit from ideal morning sunshine and a slope that ensures excellent drainage. Planted in the mid-1970s, this terroir of around three hectares lies on shallow brown limestone soils strewn with rocks. The vineyard is entirely cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics, with soil work carried out exclusively by horse to preserve the ecosystem.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
