There's fine concentration in this focused, Burgundy-like brut, with tasty Chardonnay flavors and a bright, smooth texture. Drink now. 33,000 cases made.

Currently offers a lot of complexity from lees-ageing and reserve wines for the price, making it an excellent buy. There's a sophisticated, complex note of baked citrus, sourdough bread and fresh nuts over precise stone-fruit Pinot Noir, backed up with plenty of zesty Chardonnay. Layered, persistent and fine, it's a model non-vintage.

Notes of sourdough, lemons, hazelnuts, apricot pastries and figs on the nose. Creamy and balanced, with a medium body, soft bubbles and a gently toasty finish. 45% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay and 15% meunier. 2017 base wine. Disgorged October 2022. Drink now.

Almonds, white flowers, lime and lemon oil are some of the notes that come together in Henriot's NV Brut Souverain. This mid-weight, gracious Champagne is fresh, vibrant and full of near-term appeal. Disgorged: April 2012. Lot#: L1215610412.

Light golden colour. Fine nose with more depth and toasted notes, rather Chardonnay-driven with citrus, stone fruit, almond and fresh butter. Well-balanced palate, light and elegant with a creamy mousse, vibrant acidity, yet with some maturity and depth. Elegant and long finish.

The NV Champagne Souverain Brut is a blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, and the rest Meunier, with 30–50% reserve wine in the blend. It boasts a deep golden hue and is opulent and ripe on the nose, with ample aromas of baked apples, pie spices, freshly baked pastries, and marmalade. The palate is straightforward and charming, with a frothy mousse and a ripe finish. It’s best enjoyed in the near term and is perfect for autumn and winter.

    Bettane+Desseauve

50% Chardonnay, combined with a small proportion of the famous "Cuve 38", make up this blend with its deep straw-yellow hue. The bouquet is fleshy, with ripe, polished, mellowed fruit and dried fruits swirling alongside brioche and toasted bread notes. Supple and delightfully creamy, the palate is underpinned by a very alluring, zesty, citrus-driven backbone. A benchmark among non-vintage brut Champagnes, this cuvée is generous in every respect.

The brut souverain asserts its round, charming, toasty character, slightly soft on the finish.

Bright white fruits and a fine balance between richness and crisp acidity are the hallmarks of the nonvintage Champagne from this producer. Perfumed and with delicious apple and peach fruits, the bottling is ready to drink.

The NV Brut Pur Chardonnay Blanc Souverain reveals attractive varietal character, with warm, nutty notes that add complexity, depth and nuance. There is a level of detail and nuance in the glass that invites a second taste. This is Lot L0712510707. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015. Importer: Henriot Inc., New York, NY; tel. (212) 605-6706

    Description

An aromatic and elegant champagne from Maison Henriot

    The estate

Founded in 1808, the Champagne Henriot House has been cultivating with passion and dedication for 8 generations the Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs, this noble grape variety which would later become the foundation of the style of every Henriot cuvée.

A champagne greatly appreciated at the Court of Holland, Henriot would later become a benchmark brand among the European aristocracy.

Benefiting from an ageing period and a quantity of reserve wines specific to each cuvée, Henriot champagnes stand out for their finesse, their exceptional elegance, their complexity and their dazzling richness.

    The vineyard

Maison Henriot oversees a vineyard of 35 hectares, partly planted on the finest terroirs of the Premiers and Grands Crus of Champagne, in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.

    The wine

This Brut Souverain cuvée contains 20% reserve wine and its dosage is 8g/l. Once bottled, the Brut Souverain cuvée rests for 3 years in the cellars of the Champagne Henriot House.

    Blend

More than 25 crus are blended to create the Brut Souverain cuvée of the Champagne Henriot House. The flagship cuvée of the Henriot style, its blend evolves every year according to annual climatic variations and in order to perpetuate the House style.

The blend of the Brut Souverain is composed of a balanced proportion of the two main grape varieties of Champagne: Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Pinot Meunier also forms part of the blend of this cuvée in a smaller proportion and brings subtle fruity notes.
