The estate
A family-owned estate for five generations, the Champagne J.L. Vergnon House showcases through its cuvées a delightful alchemy of tradition, a passion for terroir, and the authentic expression of Champagne's flagship grape variety, Chardonnay.
The vineyard
The vineyard of J.L. Vergnon is composed of Grands Crus from the Côte des Blancs as well as Premiers Crus from the villages of Vertus and Villeneuve, in Champagne. The estate oversees around twenty plots, managed sustainably and certified HVE 3.
The cuvée
This Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is crafted from a plot located in Mesnil-sur-Oger, an iconic village of the Côte des Blancs classified as Grand Cru. This exceptional terroir rests on chalky soils characteristic of the region, providing Chardonnay with ideal conditions to express its minerality and finesse.
Winemaking and aging
Vinification and aging in 300-liter oak barrels on lees for over 6 years in the cellar before disgorgement.
