    Wine Spectator

    Alison Napjus

A rosé of exceptional character and finesse. Beautifully integrated layers of subtle ginger, orange zest, toast and vanilla give it complexity and depth, and the rich but light texture makes it sublime to sip. A long, long finish completes the seamless package. 1,250 cases made.

Very pale rose-gold color. Incredible high-pitched nose combining strawberry, iodine, cinnamon, rose petal, minerals and earth. Almost painfully intense on the palate, with a brilliant core of spicy fruit and pure, minerally soil tones. With its bracing acidity, this is distinctly austere today, yet the texture is remarkably fine-grained and there’s great underlying sweetness of fruit. An essence of iodine-tinged soil character; like a hypothetical blend of a great Montrachet and a Gevrey-Chambertin grand cru. I hesitate to score this rosé even higher than Krug’s great 1990 Clos du Mesnil, but this was the best bottle of Champagne I tasted this fall.

    Falstaff

    Falstaff

Medium salmon-pink, delicate pink reflections. Fragrant brioche undertones of red forest-fruit jam, subtle savoury scents permeated by nuances of cherries and lemon zest, attractive and multifaceted. Taut, tight texture, fine red-berry nuances, white apple fruit, sweetheart cherries, precise acidity, fresh and persistent, great complexity and length. Citrus nuances, sweet-savoury touches.

    Bettane+Desseauve

A rosé that never relies on a flattering, primary character, but instead highlights the depth and finesse of a grand cru Champagne, with endless persistence.

    La RVF

An admirable wine, this rosé boasts incredible intensity. It unfurls a concentrated array of flavors and, above all, remarkable length, with irresistible notes of tangy red fruits on the finish.

Boasts fascinating aromas of caramel, soy sauce and meats, with only a small dash of strawberries. This is an assertively flavored Champagne that would shine with game or red meats; it's not a great sipper on its own.
