A delicate and balanced Rosé Champagne

    The estate

Founded over 120 years ago, the Champagne Lancelot Pienne House has been crafting cuvées for generations that authentically and elegantly express the richness of the Champagne terroir. Drawing on his experience at various houses, the passionate winemaker Jean-Baptiste Lancelot decided at the end of World War II to produce his own cuvées. A few years later, from the union of one of his sons with Brigitte Pienne, the Lancelot Pienne house was born. In a constant pursuit of authenticity and excellence, Lancelot Pienne is a family-owned and independent house renowned for the precision and richness of its champagnes, considered “signature wines.”

    The vineyard

Historically established in the heart of Champagne, near Cramant, the Lancelot Pienne House oversees an 8.30-hectare vineyard spread across the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne.

    The wine

La Dame du Lac is a rosé champagne made from a blend of Chardonnay from the terroirs of Cramant, Bisseuil, and Monthelon with vines aged 55 years, and Pinot Meunier from Monthelon (Malfois) planted in 1961. The base year is 2020.

    Winemaking and aging

The Pinot is vinified in stainless steel tanks with a 6-day cap management followed by a 7-day pumping over. The Chardonnay is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is partial. Disgorgement takes place 4 months before release. The dosage is 1.75 g/L.

    Blend

Chardonnay (86%) and Pinot Meunier (14%).
