The NV Brut Origine, a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier based on the 2021 vintage with 30% reserve wines, showcases its Chardonnay dominance with lovely notes of lemony Mirabelle tart, creamy and sunny. Tasted from an earlier disgorgement last year, it benefited from more time on lees, as its slenderness is now supported by a creamier mousse. Fine, lively bubbles elevate the wine's lemony brightness. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2023. - Anne Krebiehl MW

The NV Champagne Origine Brut is based around the 2020 vintage and is mostly Chardonnay with 20% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The nose opens with a pretty and fruity profile, and it pours a medium yellow color, with aromas of fresh flowers, wet stones, white peach, and candied lemon. Medium-bodied and lively, it’s approachable and refreshing, with a clean, juicy feel, a spritely and refined mousse, and a clean finish. It’s a very appealing wine with a light saline finish to drink now or over the coming 5-7 years.

The smoothness and freshness of an emblematic champagne

    The estate

With over 170 years of experience, the André Bergère family has put down roots in the Fèrebrianges region. Balancing tradition and skill, their strength lies in, above all, their passion. Passion for their unique terroir and dedication to their vines are strong values that are at the heart of their creations. Today, Adrien and Annaelle Bergère are at the head of the estate, brilliantly distinguishing the 65 hectares of vines inherited from their grandfather.
