The mineral and fruity expression of a great white Burgundy

    The estate

Founded in 1990 by the Boisseaux family, Château de Marsannay is ideally located at the gates of Dijon, in Burgundy. Acquired in 2012 by Olivier Halley, the current owner, the estate spans around forty hectares of vines certified organic since 2022. Under the oenological direction of Cyril Chirouze, the property stands out for its environmentally respectful approach and its low-intervention philosophy, giving rise to authentic cuvées that express all the richness of the finest Burgundian terroirs.

    The vineyard

The cuvée comes from a small 0.57-hectare plot located within the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, in the Côte de Beaune. East-facing, the vines benefit from ideal morning sunshine. They thrive at the bottom of the slope, on brown soils composed of a perfect balance of clay and limestone, promoting optimal ripening of the berries.

    The vintage

The 2024 vintage was marked by particularly demanding weather conditions. After a mild and wet winter that led to early budburst, the cool and rainy spring disrupted flowering. Constant humidity through to July required heightened vigilance in the vineyards. Fortunately, the return of mild and sunny weather from mid-September onwards made it possible to harvest berries of remarkable quality and concentration, despite significantly reduced yields.

    Winemaking and ageing

The production of the Puligny-Montrachet Village "Cuvée Maizière" 2024 follows a minimalist and low-intervention philosophy. The process aims to scrupulously respect the identity of the terroir, avoiding acidity corrections or technological manipulations, in order to let the wine naturally express its sensory profile.

    100% Chardonnay.
